Call our 24 hour accident towing services on 0412300492 and we can organise to tow your vehicle straight to our workshop. If your car is drivable, just bring it to our workshop for an estimate. We have all of the relevant claim forms in our offices so we can get the repair process under way immediately.

Q. I have had an accident and it's not my fault, what is the best way to manage my repairs?

If you’re not at fault and the other person is insured or has the capacity to pay then you don’t need to make a claim on your own policy and are entitled to a FREE COURTESY VEHICLE.

If you are in this situation you need to have your vehicle assessed by an independent assessor, not by an insurance company staff assessor. It’s as simple as dropping your vehicle off to us, filling out some forms and you can drive away in a courtesy vehicle. All the legalities and cost recovery will be taken care of for you.

Q. If I do claim on my insurance will I have to pay an excess even though I am not at fault?

If you have all of the details of the third party involved, there is no reason why an excess should apply. Before making a claim through your insurance company, simply drop into our workshop or give us a call and we are happy to advise you of the best options in making your claim.

Q. Do I have the right to choose the repairer of my choice?

(It's your vehicle don't you think you should decide!)

Yes. Insurance companies allow you to choose your preferred repairer. When you are making your claim tell your insurance company that Daylesford Hepburn Smash Repairs is your preferred supplier.

Did you know that in most cases insurance companies will try to direct your repairs to a workshop where they have control, what does this mean?

Insurance companies main objective is to control costs not quality. This means that second hand, after market or non genuine parts or even exchanged parts can be favoured over new genuine parts. In some instances your car may be quoted by multiple repairers at a quoting centre and then repairs directed by an insurer to their favoured repairer.

Q. When will my car be ready?

A quality repair job involves many steps. And though our estimators are among the industry’s finest, certain types of damage become apparent only after the vehicle has been disassembled. In some cases, we may need to revise your vehicle’s completion date. We know how important your vehicle is to you.

We pledge to keep you informed all along the way and we promise to return your vehicle to you as quickly as possible. Take a look at the attached diagram for a greater understanding of the repair process.

Q. Can I get a quote for the repairs to my car over the phone?

Unfortunately - No. There are too many variables when it comes to fixing cars and we really must see the vehicle and the full extent of the damage before we can commit ourselves to a price and a time frame. You do not have to make an appointment for a quotation, just come in any time between Monday - Friday  8am and 5pm , Saturday 830am and 12pm. Or by arranged appointment.
